As moms, we all have busy schedules – work, home, kids, meals, appointments, you name it. Believe me, I feel your pain. As a mom to four amazing kiddos ranging from 6 to 20 and a full-time job (with an equally full commute) I know how it feels to juggle professional and family life most often times at the expense of our own health and mental well-being.
It’s been a little over a year now that I have started to put my health and fitness more at the forefront. In the past, I’d start a workout program, start to see the results I wanted and then quit because I’d get bored or complacent. Or I’d focus on a special event date and then would fall off the wagon again once that was over only to start the cycle over again in time for the next event. Sound familiar?
Luckily, with the help of other fitness professionals, I finally found the love for working out and became more enlightened on better food choices. Not only did the professionals around me encourage and motivate me – they INSPIRED and PUSHED me.
Since my journey began, many people have come up to me and told me that I’ve inspired them to take charge and do something about their own health whether that be eating better or taking charge of their own physical fitness and I cannot tell you how wonderful that feels! Encouraging and motivatin others is something I’ve long wanted to do and I feel this is something I am definitely up for.
I’m NOT perfect – I STILL make mistakes. I still make excuses some days why I “can’t suit up” for a work out. I still struggle with leftover bad habits (sugar is my VICE! #skittles), and hey, LIFE STILL hijacks me more than I care too, but through this journey I hope I can be your motivation, your training buddy, and your support. Getting stronger together. Let’s do this!
