Workout of the Day – Gimme Some H.I.I.T.
One of the things I wanted to start doing in 2016 for the blog was to start posting workouts here directly for those that don’t enjoy the FB life. I may still do both, special workouts here and other workouts on the FB and Instagram. So guys – welcome to the first WOD of the week!
You may or may not know this about me, depending on how long you’ve been following me on FB, but I LOVE HIIT programs. Love them! Nothing better than going all out for 12-20 min and getting into the best shape of your life. Who says you have to spend an hour or more in the gym to get a good work out in?! Not this mama!
So today’s HIIT WOD courtesy of yours truly:
EQUIPMENT: Bodyweight and Dumbbells (DB)
5 min Light Run or Run in Place
:50 WORK/ :10 REST
- Burpee w/ Push Up + Tuck Jump
- Mountain Climbers
- Sumo Squat + Press (DB)
- Jump Rope
- Split Lunge Jumps
- Plank Jacks (arms extended, not on elbows)
- Push Up + Row (DB)
- Supermans + Rollover + Suitcase Crunch (repeat)
- Bicep Curl + Press Up (DB)
And don’t forget to stretch!
